Registration

We’re delighted you’re interested in becoming a Peppo Tutor! Joining us is simple, just follow these four steps:

Register

Fill in the form below with your basic details, qualifications, and experience.
You don’t need prior tutoring or teaching experience, but do let us know if you’ve worked with children or young people before. 
Our academic standards are high — you should have at least an A/7 at GCSE in your chosen subject and a genuine passion for it.

Interview

If your application is shortlisted, we’ll invite you to a 30-minute online interview.
You’ll also deliver a short, 10-minute lesson in a subject of your choice.

References
& DBS Check

Safeguarding is essential. Before you can begin tutoring, we’ll need:

  • A professional reference.

  • Either:
    (i) A valid, up-to-date DBS certificate, or
    (ii) Two forms of ID (e.g. passport and driver’s licence) plus proof of address (e.g. a bank statement from the last 3 months) so we can apply for a DBS on your behalf.
    We cover the DBS cost upfront, but deduct £5 from your first 10 lessons to reimburse it.

Get started

Once accepted and DBS-cleared, you’ll receive your login details, and begin selecting from jobs from our jobs board.

Note: Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept applicants on Tier 4 or Tier 2 UK visas,

as these visas do not allow HMRC self-employment registration.

Your Academics & Experience

You will be asked to re submit your qualifications when setting up your account, make sure you keep all text/files in an easy to find location on your device to make this easier for future uploading.

Please note you must have at least an A or a 7 at GCSE in any subject you wish to tutor at GCSE and either an A at A-level or be studying the subject at university for any subject you wish to tutor to A-level.

You could cover what you are studying at the moment and where, what subjects you are passionate about and how you would describe your teaching style. 

Volunteering

Would you be interested in volunteering to take part in any events we hold for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds? (No experience needed)
Would you like to volunteer to take part in the English Conversation Club to help young refugees? (No experience needed)
