Who We Are

About Us

Peppo Tutors is a not-for-profit social enterprise committed to bridging the educational gap for students experiencing disadvantage. We provide paid tutoring services to private clients, with all profits funding free tutoring for those who need it most. Our model ensures that every paid session directly supports our mission to offer equal learning opportunities. By choosing Peppo Tutors, clients receive exceptional academic support while contributing to a wider social impact.

Free Tutoring Initiative

Peppo is a not-for-profit social enterprise. We provide paid tutoring services to our private clients and corporate partners. We also generate income from grants, corporate sponsorship of our events, and one-off donations. All profits we make from paid tutoring and events are reinvested into our Free Tutoring Initiative. In practice, we are able to match every hour of paid tutoring with an hour of free tutoring for an underprivileged student.

Our Vision

Our vision is of a world where each and every young person has the same opportunity to achieve their potential. Educational inequality affects millions of children every year and remains one of the starkest dividing lines between those who succeed and those who fall behind. In today’s digital world, this is simply unacceptable.

Our Mission

Our mission is to combat educational inequality by providing high-quality, online, one-to-one tutoring to disadvantaged students entirely free of charge. We partner with businesses, charities, and schools to reach the young people who need support the most and ensure that academic help is never out of reach.

Our Story

Peppo was founded by Adrian Levy, a City lawyer and father of three teenagers. Through attending his children’s school events and his charitable work for a national children's charity, Adrian realised that little had changed in the 32 years since he left school. Wealthy children had access to 1-to-1 tuition, while disadvantaged children lacked similar opportunities and struggled academically.

The growing academic gap left many disadvantaged students unable to reach their potential. This inequality motivated Adrian to create Peppo, where 1-to-1 private tuition funds tuition for disadvantaged children.

Peppo is named after Adrian’s grandfather, Peppo Levy, a chemist and inventor who taught Adrian chemistry, literature, and the value of following his dreams. Though Peppo passed away unexpectedly, his lessons and love for learning continue to inspire.

Every child deserves a Peppo in their life.
