What is Pioneer's Day?
Peppo Pioneers Day is always our favourite day in the calendar. It’s a chance to take our students beyond the classroom, offering them unforgettable experiences, career insights, and a sense of adventure.

For many students from underserved communities, days like these are rare opportunities to step outside their usual environment, expand their horizons, and imagine new possibilities for their future.
From pitching business ideas at a leading law firm to exploring city planning or canoeing on the Thames, each year is packed with excitement and inspiration.
While we aim to inspire the young people who attend through discussions and team-building activities, we’re always left inspired in return by their big ambitions and the can-do attitude they bring to everything they do.
Pioneer's Day Highlights
2022
Big Dreams & Bigger Adventures
Our very first Pioneer’s Day kicked off thanks to the amazing Direct Line Group Graduates! Students spent the day meeting animals, feeding alpacas, and dreaming about future careers; a mix of fun, laughter, and new adventures.
2023
Reaching New Heights
Next stop: the newly reopened Battersea Power Station! Students got the inside scoop on how this London icon was built, then swapped hard hats for harnesses as they tackled the Go Ape treetop course, with plenty of challenges, teamwork, and laughs along the way.
2024
Sailing Towards A Brighter Future
With support from Newham Council’s People Powered Places, students started the day at Clifford Chance hearing Lovelace Odoi’s inspiring story. After pitching their own big ideas, it was time for canoeing and games on the Thames, with brains and boats all in one!
2025
There's No 'I' In 'Team'!
This year was all about friendships and teamwork. After sharing what makes a great business and pitching their own creative ideas, students hit the water for dragon boating at the Docklands. It was a brilliant day comprising of rowing, racing, and plenty of bonding.
